Nelson leads BNEF's research on the energy transition across Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously led the coverage on battery and energy storage markets across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Nelson has a background conducting investment research on private companies across Sub-Saharan African markets and joined BNEF from research firm Asoko Insight. He holds an MSc in Finance from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kent.
