Archana Jahagirdar is the founder and managing partner of Rukam Capital, an early-stage consumer focussed VC fund. She has led investments across a range of sectors including beauty and personal care, food and beverage, nutraceuticals and home and kitchen. She is an active angel investor. She has over 25 years of work experience. Prior to starting Rukam Capital, she helped in sourcing deals for a couple of individuals for about a year. Before that she set up an accelerator and had worked with Indian Angel Network.

She is regularly invited to speak at different forums on early-stage investing. She is amongst handful women founders of homegrown venture capital funds. Complementing Archana’s transactional skills is her ability to help portfolio companies scale and deep relationships with other tier-1 funds. She is passionate about working with startups and also interested in the development of entrepreneurship in India. She has an BA (Hons) and MA in English Literature from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.

Rukam Capital was founded in 2019 and has invested in 18 companies so far including Sleepy Owl, GoDesi, Beco, Pilgrim, The Indus Valley, Anveya, Curefoods, Assembly, Yoho, React Labs, Burger Singh, Foodstrong and The Bread Company.
