Azelli Aris is Vice President and Head of Climate Investments at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), Malaysia’s public sector pension fund. An advocate for climate finance in the Global South, Azelli designed and launched Dana Iklim⁺, Malaysia’s inaugural USD500 million multi-asset climate fund, which he currently oversees.
Previously, Azelli served as Principal Officer of Prima Ekuiti (UK) Limited in London where he led KWAP’s UK and European investments across listed equities, private equity, and real estate. He began his career as an equities portfolio manager.
With experience across public and private markets globally, Azelli plays a central role in integrating climate considerations into institutional investment strategy, positioning KWAP at the forefront of sustainable investing in the region.

Azelli holds an MBA from the University of Oxford.
