Cliff Ryan is a Partner at Galvanize Climate Solutions and Co-Head of the firm’s Innovation & Expansion strategy. He has spent his career investing in and working with entrepreneurs in the global energy and technology industries. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Riverstone Holdings, where he worked for over a decade, sourcing, structuring, and negotiating transactions totaling over $25 billion and serving on the boards of twelve portfolio companies. Earlier, Cliff worked in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse, focused on M&A and leveraged finance in the global power and renewable sectors. Cliff has been an investor in many leading energy and technology companies, including acting as manager of Create Holdings, an advisor to LearnVest, and an Executive in Residence for Energy Impact Partners. Cliff graduated from Harvard College and lives in Greenwich Village in New York City with his wife and three children.
