Prasad Gadkari has over 25 years of experience in areas of infrastructure / private equity, joint ventures, project finance, and corporate & policy advisory. At present, he is the Chief Strategy Officer at NIIF responsible for leading the firm’s strategic Initiatives, new product development and advising the government on project ideas & economic policy matters. Prasad is currently leading the creation of a $2bn credit fund focussed on green / energy transition sectors with anchor investments from Govt of India and US Government.

Earlier, Prasad used to be a Partner with IDFC Private Equity where he led the firm’s investment deals across transportation, urban infra, healthcare and education sectors. In a previous role, Prasad was with General Electric, where he focussed on infrastructure investing and JVs in the MENASA region.

Prior to GE, Prasad was with IDFC Ltd where he handled some of the earliest project financing transactions in India. He was also a key member of the team that provided policy level inputs to the Govt of India for the initial privatisation transactions in the country.

Prasad received a MMS (Masters in Management) from NMIMS, Mumbai and is a CFA Charter holder
