Souleymane Ba is a Partner at LeapFrog Investments and Co-Head of the firm’s Climate Investment Strategy. He has nearly 20 years of experience investing across emerging and developed markets, spanning a range of investment stages and sectors including industrials, financial services, telecom infrastructure and agribusiness.

Prior to joining LeapFrog, Souleymane was a Partner at Just Climate, an investment business established by Generation Investment Management focused on decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors. There, he co-led the Industrial Decarbonisation investment team and served on both the Executive and Investment Committees.

Before Just Climate, Souleymane spent a decade at Helios Investment Partners, where he led investments across sectors such as food security and financial inclusion. He began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley in New York before moving into principal investing at Warburg Pincus and the Carlyle Group.

Souleymane holds a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
