Takashi Murata joined Warburg Pincus in 2024, and is a Managing Director, Co-Head of Asia Real Estate and Head of Japan. He is a member of the Executive Management Group. Tak was previously the Co-Head of Asia Pacific Private Investing and Global Co-Head of Real Estate at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (“GSAM”) and a Partner. He was a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee and the Asset Management Real Estate Investment Committee. Tak serves on the Board of Directors for StorHub and Vita Partners. He joined Goldman Sachs in Tokyo in 1998 as one of the founding members of the Asian Special Situations Group (“ASSG”) and was responsible for the development of the Australia and New Zealand ASSG business, assuming the role of Head of ASSG in 2018. Prior to his roles at Goldman Sachs, Tak worked at Secured Capital Corp in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
