Jenny Xiao is a Partner at Leonis Capital, a research-focused VC fund based in Silicon Valley. Before Leonis, she was an early employee and researcher at OpenAI and received her Ph.D. from Columbia University. With deep domain expertise in AI, Jenny pioneers a research-driven approach to seed and pre-seed investing. Her research has been featured in Nature, the New York Times, the WSJ, the Economist, Fortune, and CNBC. Her work at Leonis is the topic of an extensive Harvard Business School (HBS) case study. She is a frequent speaker at leading tech and business conferences, including the Fortune Brainstorm Tech Conference. She is also the recipient of the Forbes 30 Under 30 award.
