JJ Yin is Executive Director and head of the External Capabilities group within Merck Process Research & Development. JJ obtained his B.S. degree from University of Science and Technology of China and Ph.D. degree from Emory University. After postdoctoral studies at MIT, JJ joined Merck Process R&D in Rahway, NJ in 2001. JJ led various cross-functional teams at Merck to advance drug candidates from early development to commercialization. He also led teams to design efficient and novel catalysis screening platforms and technologies to solve challenging chemistry problems. His current team works with our strategic external partners to provide clinical drug substance supplies for Merck’s Pipeline across small and large molecule modalities. He has over 60 publications and patents.
