Kristine McKinney, Ph.D., is Vice President and Head of Cancer Vaccines and Bioinformatics Research at Moderna, where she leads a multidisciplinary team advancing mRNA-based therapeutic cancer vaccines. She oversees research and discovery in therapeutic cancer vaccines and supports programs as they progress through clinical development, bringing deep expertise in discovery biology, immunology, and bioinformatics to expand therapeutic possibilities for patients with cancer.
She has held multiple leadership roles at Moderna, advancing novel applications of the mRNA-LNP platform across oncology, immuno-oncology, and gene editing. Dr. McKinney earned her Ph.D. from Columbia University and completed postdoctoral training at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
