Sonja Merkas, PhD, is the founder of Livinovea, a hands-on, service-providing consultancy supporting life science organizations across technical, operational, and business aspects. With over 25 years in the industry, she has worked with small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides. Her oligonucleotide journey began in 2003 during her PhD and postdoc and continued with a decade at Novartis leading oligo portfolios and R&D projects. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Sonja combines operational excellence with a strategic, visionary mindset.
