Stefan Hyde is an automation and software engineering leader with over 14 years of experience in advanced bioprocessing technologies. He holds an MS in Mechatronics from Northwestern University and began his career at Asahi Kasei Bioprocess America (AKBA) in 2011, contributing to automation and system design across purification, filtration, buffer formulation, and single-use processing.

Stefan currently leads AKBA’s Automation group and played a central role in the development and launch of the OCELOT Process Control platform, establishing a modern, modular automation architecture that supports AKBA’s expanding equipment portfolio. He is also a member of AKBA’s oligosynthesis task force, contributing to strategic and technical initiatives in this key growth area.
