A seafood industry professional, ‎with 28 years of experience in both private and public sectors.

Philippos has participated and managed numerous projects and studies, many of which in collaboration with international organizations such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the FAO’s General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM), as well as with various national aquaculture Producer Associations.

From 2016 till 2019 he served as Technical Consultant to the Saudi Aquaculture Society (SAS) and currently holds the position of Vice President of Operations for the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program (NLFDP) of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also the coordinator of the Technical Advisory Group on “Governance and Responsible Investment in Aquaculture” of the FAO’s General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM).

Philippos holds a BSc degree in Marine Biology/ Oceanography and an MSc degree on Aquaculture and Fisheries as well as an MBA on General Management and Marketing.
