Akio Ohta is a Professor of Immunology at the Foundation of Biomedical and Research Innovation at Kobe (Kobe, Japan) since 2016. He came to Kobe after working at the Northeastern University (Boston, MA) for 11 years as Assistant Professor and Principal Research Scientist. He received Ph.D. (Pharm. Sci.) from Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan) in 1998. His research fields include T cell immunology, immunoregulation and cancer immunology.
