Alexei leads the Protein Engineering team as well as multiple partner programs. He is an experienced scientist with domain expertise spanning structural and chemical biology, protein engineering, and tissue engineering. At Mosaic Biosciences, he spearheaded efforts to optimize the potency, pharmacokinetic properties, immunogenicity and selectivity of therapeutic protein candidates. Prior to joining Mosaic, he conducted structural biology research on RNA and proteins using X-ray crystallography and SAXS techniques. Alexei received his PhD in Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington.
