Dr. Kugler currently serves as Vice President of Research and Early Development at Cartography Biosciences, where he leads pipeline development translating comprehensive antigen profiling into immune-based therapies. Prior to Cartography, he was a Scientific Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb (formally Juno Therapeutics and Celgene) where he contributed to bringing multiple early programs to the clinic. Throughout his career, Dr. Kugler has studied immune regulation within the contexts of autoimmunity, infectious diseases, and cancer and his expertise spans multiple disciplines including computational biology, functional genomics, immunology, pharmacology, and the drug development of biologics and cell therapies. Dr. Kugler holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University, in collaboration with the National Institutes for Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) at NIH, and completed postdoctoral training at NIAID/NIH as well as Benaroya Research Institute.
