Professor Maynard received an undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and post-doctoral studies at Stanford University. Her research group aims to develop new therapies and vaccines to prevent infectious diseases using a combination of biological and engineering principles.
