Dr. Lu Shan is Sr. Director and Head of Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering at Alector Therapeutics. She has 15 years of experience in drug discovery and development, small molecules and bispecific/multispecific antibody and protein therapeutics, across oncology, inflammation, metabolic and CNS diseases. She has had multiple high-impact publications including a body of work on the engineering of monovalent Fc platform and applications in drug discovery, publications in Science and PNAS on the mechanisms for Celiac disease and enzyme therapeutics. At Alector she has led the antibody and protein therapeutic development for multiple novel strategies to tackle neurodegeneration including the blood-brain barrier technology.
