Susan is an immunologist and experienced R&D leader with over 25 years in the biotech industry advancing programs from early research to clinical development. During 17 years at Biogen, her lab identified or contributed to antibody-based therapies targeting members of the TNF family leading to clinical trials in autoimmunity and oncology. She’s held leadership positions at Shire, Q32 Bio, Compass Therapeutics and Dianthus Therapeutics where she shaped pipelines in the areas of autoimmunity & inflammation, rare genetic diseases, ophthalmology and complement biology. She has contributed to multiple IND/CTA filings and is a co-inventor on numerous issued patents. Dr. Kalled is currently an independent consultant involved in company building, and providing scientific and business strategy guidance to small and large biotech companies.
