David is SVP of Industry Research covering investment, R&D, and alliance deal trends as well as regulatory and market statistics impacting policy initiatives in Washington. Prior to joining BIO, worked as a biochemist in drug discovery at Amgen, Millennium and Novartis, and later in synthetic biology at the J Craig Venter Institute. David is also a financial analyst and holds the Chartered Financial analyst (CFA) designation.
