Edward is a Partner at Sofinnova Partners, where he launched, built, and now co-leads the firm’s Digital Medicine strategy. He and his team back companies at the convergence of AI, data, and life sciences.

Previously, Edward was at M Ventures, the corporate VC arm of Merck KGaA, where he invested in pioneering digital medicine and biopharma ventures. He began his career as an equity analyst at Kempen & Co, covering listed small- and mid-cap life sciences companies.

Edward holds an M.Sc. in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University, specializing in pharmacology. A Dutch native now based in Madrid, he brings the same energy to investing as he does to challenges outside of work, like driving a 1.2L Chevrolet Aveo from London to Mongolia through the Gobi Desert to raise funds for SOS Children’s Villages.
