Mehdi Shahidi, MD is Head of Development and Chief Medical Officer at Ottimo Pharma and a Venture Partner at Medicxi. He is a seasoned drug development leader with more than two decades of experience spanning translational and clinical development across multiple therapeutic areas.

Previously, Mehdi served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Boehringer Ingelheim, with responsibility for the company’s global clinical and medical organization across its portfolio. He trained in Clinical Oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and had a successful career in clinical practice and academic research before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry.
