After studying mainly public administration and electoral systems at Kyoto University's Faculty of Law, she joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. She was assigned to the Policy Division of the Energy Conservation and New Energy Department of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, where she was involved in overall supervision of renewable energy and energy conservation policies. Later, she was assigned to the Wind Power Policy Office, New Energy Division of the same department, where she was involved in international cooperation, industrial policy planning, and human resource development in the field of wind power generation. Since June of this year, she has been in charge of the industrialization of regenerative medicine and gene therapy at the Biochemical Industry Division, where she is working on the development of a center that integrates research and development facilities and clinical trial facilities for regenerative medicine.
