Shaun Grady has global responsibility for Business Development Operations at AstraZeneca, leading the company’s transaction execution, due diligence and Alliance and Integration Management function covering licensing, collaborations and partnering, M&A, externalisation and divestments.

Shaun worked on the merger of Astra and Zeneca, the acquisition of Cambridge Antibody Technology (CAT) and later MedImmune and the buy-out of Bristol-Myers’ Squibb’s interest in the AZ – BMS Diabetes Alliance. Shaun led the transaction team for AZ’s global ADC collaborations with Daichi Sankyo for Enhertu and DS -1062, and more recently the acquisition of Gracell, Icosovax and Fusion and the collaboration with Ecogene.

Shaun chairs AstraZeneca’s UK Leadership Team.

Shaun is a Board member at the Bio Industries Association (BIA), is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cambridge United Football Club, and a Board member at Cambridge Arts Theatre and Prostate Cancer Research and an Honorary Fellow at The University of Cambridge Judge Business School and Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge.
