Dr. Werner Lanthaler served as CEO of Evotec AG from 2009 to January 2024, steering the company’s focus on drug discovery and development partnerships.

During his tenure, the company saw substantial growth, expanding collaborations with leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms as well as prominent academic institutions.

Prior to his time at Evotec, he was CFO at Intercell AG, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s successful IPO and its transformation into a global leader in vaccines.

Dr. Lanthaler holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Vienna and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. He currently serves as Managing Director of WLanholding GmbH, an advisory and investment firm.
