Following a Mathematics degree at the University of Nottingham, Joe started his career as a Mathematical Modeller at Public Health England. After 11 years at this government-based institution, Joe undertook a PhD in Mathematical modelling of T cell activation at the University of Southampton. Joe is currently a post-doctoral researcher at University College London where he is developing digital twins of perfusion bioreactors for CAR-T cell therapy.
