What is BUILDEX Alberta?
BUILDEX is Alberta’s largest business-to-business event connecting the whole building industry. BUILDEX is a unique opportunity for Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction, Homebuilder & Renovator, and Property Management professionals to network, learn and discover the newest products, services, and industry trends from a market in constant transformation.
Does BUILDEX education qualify for continuing education (CE) credits?
Yes. select BUILDEX seminars from across the educational program qualify for continuing education credits by AAA, IDCEC, BOMI and PMI credits.
How do I receive my certificate of attendance for my continuing education (CE) credits?
You will be automatically issued a certificate of attendance for BUILDEX sessions within 4 weeks of the shows conclusion. To register your educational credits, please refer to the requirements of the individual accrediting authority.
Are there special offers available for students?
BUILDEX is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their understanding of the industry, find mentors, build their network and discover summer or post-graduation work opportunities. We are delighted to extend the special offer for students through local academic institutions within Canada. Please contact your academic institution directly for details or BUILDEXshows@informa.com for details.
Are group discounts available?
Yes. A discount of 20% is available for groups of 4 or more registering as a group and will be applied automatically during registration. Group discounts can be used on a combination of pass types (e.g. for a combination of trade show passes and All Access Passes). Group discounts are not applicable to NES passes and cannot be combined with promo codes.

Are Non-Exhibiting suppliers allowed to register and attend the show?
All non-exhibiting brands, manufacturers, suppliers, reps, or others affiliated with our industries but are not intending to buy, research or specify products and services, will be considered a Non-Exhibiting Suppliers.
Non-Exhibiting Suppliers may register and attend BUILDEX though the Non-Exhibiting Supplier pass (max 2 per company). Please note, NO solicitation is permitted by companies who are not current sponsors or exhibitors of BUILDEX.
Why are non-exhibiting suppliers charged more to attend BUILDEX?
Non-exhibiting suppliers are charged a surcharge to attend BUILDEX events in an effort to protect the investment made by our exhibitors and sponsors. This policy is in response to client feedback and enables the show’s management to continually improve the return on investment for our clients while protecting the integrity of the event.
Can we register onsite on October 23 & 24?
Attendee registration is available in person on the days of the event. Please note that we are a cashless show and only credit / debit cards will be accepted.
Are there any food & beverage options?
Yes, there is a grab and go food and beverage area on the show floor.
Can the event be attended or viewed virtually?
BUILDEX Alberta will take place in-person only at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park, there is no ability to attend virtually.
However, select educational sessions and product demonstrations will be recorded at BUILDEX Alberta and released online after the event through Informa’s Expert Business Video platform, Streamly. To access this content, you should purchase a BUILDEX On-Demand pass. This pass provides access to select educational sessions and demonstrations recorded at BUILDEX Alberta on-demand after the show, PLUS all content from the Buildings Canada portfolio of events for a limited time.
How is BUILDEX striving to become more sustainable?
Prioritizing sustainability is critical to the BUILDEX team, and parent company Informa as we understand the environmental impact of the events industry. BUILDEX strives to identify, understand and address these impacts to achieve continual improvement year after year.
We have made changes, such as, removing aisle carpet from the show floor, elimination of printed show guide, reducing materials and giveaways ordered, partnering with a local non-profit, tracking our energy and wastage and purchasing renewable energy to offset our carbon emissions for each BUILDEX event in efforts to reduce our carbon footprint
Do you provide letters for visa applications?
International registrations will automatically receive a letter that includes show information and your registration as an attendee. Please note BUILDEX/Informa does not assume any financial, legal, or other type of responsibility for any person during their attendance at this event. Attendees are responsible for all costs associated with registration, travel and the required travel documents. Attendees should contact their local embassy or consulate for information on obtaining the appropriate travel documents for entry into Canada.
Please DO NOT send us copies of the passport. We will not alter the visa letter as its not required by the Canadian Government.
There is no special conference code provided by the Government of Canada for BUILDEX show. All registrants, national and international receive only the registration number once the registration is confirmed. There is no special process to help BUILDEX attendees’ visa process.
No other assistance will be provided beyond this automatically generated response and no refunds will be issued for unsuccessful visa applications.
