Ed Macnab is a born and raised Calgarian, homeowner, CEO of a startup homebuilding company, 3DPHC – 3D Printed Homes Corporation, and an accidental activist for housing affordability.

In an interesting twist, his first job out of school was at Instant Housing, a local mobile home manufacturer. His career will likely close as CEO of an affordable home builder. Between those life event bookends, Ed has worked in the construction trades, the Alberta oilpatch, and a variety of technology ventures, closing out with a dozen years as a Senior International IT Project Manager for a major US company.

Since joining the startup Team at 3DPHC, Ed has brought his background and eclectic Rolodex into the branding and messaging for the company. Canada’s need for housing far outstrips our capacity to build. It is time for the construction industry to embrace automation as one important way to mitigate our chronic labour shortages.
