Kae Shummoogum, P.Eng., holds an Electrical and Electronics Engineering Degree from City University in London, England, and arrived in Canada 44 years ago. In 1985, Kae founded Gasonic Instruments to address the growing need for hazardous gas detection and indoor air quality monitoring in commercial buildings. In 1995, he established EnviroRentals, a company specializing in renting environmental testing instruments to both indoor and outdoor environmental consultants. Today, Kae leverages his extensive knowledge to tackle air quality challenges in buildings from the parkade to the penthouse. Kae’s deep understanding of the mechanisms driving climate change has earned him a unique volunteer teaching role at the Mayor’s Environmental Expo, where he engages over a thousand kids each year. In 2024, Kae launched a non-profit organization called Canary Climate Conversation Association, dedicated to simplifying the teaching of climate change solutions. Kae has developed the most comprehensive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework in the industry, achieving both net zero pollution and emissions. He generates most of the electricity for his office, home, and EV’s using 68 solar panels and a small windmill. |
