Michael Woodland, Architect AAA, AIBC, SAA, OAA, MRAIC, LEED AP, is a Partner and Principal with METAFOR Architecture, a Calgary and Edmonton based integrated Architectural practice known for its progressive approach to projects that has developed specialized expertise in Zero Carbon and Net Zero Energy buildings for municipal and private clients. Michael has recently completed four zero carbon projects with two of them achieving net zero energy and the others with a clear pathway to become net zero energy projects with expansion of their PV array. Michael’s projects have won various architectural and construction industry awards for the integration of sustainable design strategies and energy efficiency measures, including recently winning the 2022 CaGBC Zero Carbon Building award for ROAM Transit Garage. Michael has been a past presenter at LGAA in Canmore, A4LE Conference; Canadian Design Build Institute; Sustainable Building Symposium; Alberta Infrastructure Partners Conference; and Alberta Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council. |
