Profile
Marga Barrera is the Global Head of Design at BBVA, where she leads a multidisciplinary team of over 1,100 designers worldwide. With more than 25 years of experience in strategic design, digital product innovation, and customer experience, she plays a pivotal role in shaping BBVA’s design culture and its transition toward AI-native, predictive, and multimodal experiences. Margarita led the redesign of the BBVA mobile app, as well as the bank’s new brand identity and design system. She is also a frequent international speaker and mentor in the design and fintech community.
She holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School.
