Mike is the founder and Managing Partner of Sidecut Ventures, which backs pre-seed, coachable superheroes in economic mobility, digital healthcare, and education for marginalized communities. Previously, Mike was the Managing Director at Nex Cubed, where he launched both their FinTech practice and the HBCU Founders Fund. He is also an Operating Partner at Sway Ventures for their FinTech practice. Mike has had a long career as a both a startup and Fortune 500 executive. He was SVP and Digital Strategy and Innovation Executive at Bank of America, and Head of Retail Advertising at Vanguard. Mike was also Chief Growth Officer at Betterment and Chief Marketing Officer at Own Up. Mike graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Harvard. He served on the Adaptive National Team of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. Mike resides in New York and Vermont with his wife, three children, and a two rescued doodles.
