Davide Cannarozzi, an accomplished leader and innovator in sustainable finance, has dedicated over 25 years to advancing the energy transition and decarbonization sectors.

Davide holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, a full-time MBA from ESADE Business School, training in Project Finance from London Business School, and advanced training in Venture Capital from IE Business School in Madrid. With this robust foundation, he brings a deep expertise in structuring investments that drive significant environmental impact.

Davide founded GNE Finance in Barcelona in 2016, focusing on innovative financial solutions for building decarbonization, such as the EuroPACE program inspired by US PACE financing. Under his leadership, GNE Finance spearheaded critical initiatives like the OpenGela project and the SER Hub, enhancing urban regeneration and supporting vulnerable communities.

In 2019, Davide launched GNE Ventures, an advisory and investment company dedicated to Energy Transition Finance and in 2023, he spearheaded the launch of GNE Invest I, GNE Ventures' inaugural equity investment vehicle, focusing on seed-stage Climate Tech startups in Southern Europe. GNE Invest I pioneered the Financing for Equity model blending venture capital with asset-based finance to support capital-intensive green technologies.

Davide orchestrated investments exceeding €100 million across diverse sectors including energy efficiency in industries, distributed renewables in municipalities, building renovations, and Eco-mobility. Additionally, Davide serves on the board of directors of the European Sustainable Energy Finance Association (SEFA), where he contributes to shaping the future of sustainable energy financing in Europe.
