Alex is a certified Physician Assistant and part of Dr. M. Craig McMains care team. He went to Purdue University for undergrad and has a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Saint Francis where he explored in-depth comparisons between non-operative and surgical treatments for adolescent scoliosis and their impacts on athletic performance. He also earned a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences from Florida International University. Alex is well-versed in interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab results and is highly skilled in a variety of complex procedures assisting in the operating room. He has trained extensively under Dr. McMains in the most advanced minimally invasive spine surgery techniques to provide the highest level of patient care and positive outcomes.He enjoys working closely with patients, treating a wide spectrum of spine pathologies to ensure the best recovery possible. Alex is an Indianapolis native, and after living abroad with his family for several years in Hong Kong, he is excited to be back home again working in his hometown. He enjoys traveling, spending weekends at the lake with his dog and cheering on the Boilers no matter what season it is.
