Michael Mahoney was most recently the Senior Director of Strategic Event Services for Genentech leading the team for more than 20 years. In this role he was accountable for the execution of internal and external meetings, congresses, and speaker programs. He currently is consulting to clients in the areas of SMMP, MSAs, KPIs, preferred vendor management, compliance auditing and monitoring. He is a passionate advocate for exploiting the power of all forms of engagement. Michael’s prior experience includes sales, sales training and sales-management also in the pharmaceutical industry.

Michael stays active with several industry groups including Informa’s Pharma Forum Advisory Board and, and MPI’s MPI-MD advisory board. Michael has been is involved in several charitable groups having served on the boards for numerous LGBTQ+ organizations. He currently serves on the board of Spindrift School of Performing Arts.

Michael lives in San Francisco with his husband of 32 years, their 14-year-old daughter, Stella, and their two golden retrievers. Their other pursuits include travel, theater, live music, movies, politics, wine, and great food.
