Patricia Andrade is Vice President of International Marketing and Compliance at ABTS Convention Services, where she has led compliance alignment and international communication strategy for more than 20 medical and scientific associations. Her work focuses on the application of global HCP engagement standards, with particular emphasis on Europe’s Ethical MedTech and EFPIA requirements, as well as guidelines across Europe, LATAM, and Asia-Pacific.
She oversees planning and communication workflows related to HCP travel, international group participation, sponsorship structures, and regulatory expectations for globally attended medical congresses. Patricia’s work centers on identifying compliance gaps that affect international attendance and supporting associations as they navigate global sponsorship and participation requirements.
She previously managed regional campaigns for Procter & Gamble and Kraft Foods at Starcom MediaVest and later served as Associate Director of Development at Children’s Home Society of Florida, where she led integrated marketing, donor communications, and the organization’s first social media strategy.
Patricia holds an MBA and a BBA in Marketing and Business Management from the University of Miami, with additional training from Duke University in Digital Media and Integrated Marketing Communications, Seton Hall Law School’s European Healthcare Compliance Certificate Program (EU-HCCP), Meeting Professionals International’s HMCC and MMP programs, and International Relations and Protocol from Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Switzerland.
She develops practical compliance tools and resources for associations, including multi-part guides on global codes and articles examining their operational impact on U.S. medical meetings. Patricia is a contributor to PCMA’s Convene magazine and a speaker at industry programs, including PCMA Convening Leaders, HCEA, and global compliance-focused forums.
