Chris Knight, took over the role of Group Chief Risk Officer in May 2021. Chris joined L&G in 2009 as Finance Director of what was then the Group’s International Division. He subsequently had stints as the CFO for first the Legal & General Assurance Society (LGAS) and then the Annuities division before taking up the role of Chief Executive Officer of L&G’s Retail Retirement business, where he led the expansion of our individual annuity and lifetime mortgages propositions and launched our financial advice and care businesses.

Prior to L&G, Chris trained as an actuary from 1989 and worked in a variety of roles in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.
