Entry Requirements
- Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s honours degree in Law (2:1 or above) or equivalent legal qualifications. Law graduates with a 2.2 honours degree who also possess additional legal qualifications and/or substantial professional legal experience may also be considered.
- Non-law graduates applying for the pre-sessional module should hold a Bachelor’s honours degree (2:1) in a field relevant to Technology, Media, and Telecommunications, or an equivalent overseas qualification.

Degree Award
Upon successful completion, you will receive one of the following qualifications from Queen Mary University of London:
- LLM in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Law
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Postgraduate Certificate
Your degree certificate will not differentiate between qualifications earned through distance learning or in-person study in London.
Documentation Requirements
- When submitting your application, you will need to provide the following documents:
- Copies of final certificates and transcripts of your Law qualifications.
- Supporting evidence for all degree-level qualifications listed on your CV.
- Preferred format: For all qualifications, colour photographs of paper documents are preferred over digital versions. However, any digital copies should include the email with the correspondence from the respective institution. Notarisation will be necessary for non-colour copies of all supporting documentation. Copies of qualifications not in English must also be translated and notarised.
- Proof of English language proficiency through appropriate tests - see the Programme Language section for more details. For the full list of accepted English language tests from Queen Mary University, click here.
- A signed personal statement outlining your motivations and reasons for applying to the programme.
- A letter of recommendation, from your university professor, if graduated within the last 5 years, or from a senior colleague, if graduation was longer than 5 years ago
- A copy of your passport page or EU Identity Card
Programme Language
- The programme is conducted entirely in English. Applicants from countries where English is not the majority language must provide a certified/notarised copy of their English language proficiency.
- If you have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in one of the following countries, or are a national of one of these countries, you are exempt from providing proof of English proficiency:
- Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, USA.
- Note: Canadian nationals are also exempt.
There are many qualifications and tests that are accepted by Queen Mary University London, many of which are available as online tests or can be arranged quite quickly.

Payment
Payment Information
- An Application Fee of £500 is payable upon receipt of your application. This will be deducted from your programme fees - or first instalment - upon acceptance onto the programme.
- Full payment of programme fees is required upon acceptance of your place and before the programme begins. Alternatively, an instalment plan is available:
LLM and Postgraduate Diploma:
- 25% of the fee is due before the start of the programme.
- The remaining balance is payable in three further instalments throughout the programme.
Postgraduate Certificate:
- 50% of the fee is due before the start of the programme.
- The remaining balance is due midway through the first year of study.
