Based in Paris, France, Olivier Raevel serves as Vice President, Commercial EU at Gevo, Inc. He has over 30 years of experience in commodities derivatives, trading, structuring, and C-level advisory across various markets and regions. M. Raevel is a former member of the Consultative Working Group of the ESMA Commodities Derivatives Task Force and a founding Board Member of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). He holds a Master in Management - Finance degree from HEC Paris and is currently enrolled in the INSEAD Chief Strategy Officer Executive education program.

M. Raevel has a strong record of delivering innovative solutions and building strategic partnerships with private and public corporations, exchanges, FCMs, and investors. He is passionate about contributing to the global transition to a more sustainable and circular economy, leveraging his expertise in green tech, SAF, alternative energy, and data science.

Having continuously navigated the commodities markets “seven seas” since Gulf War I, M. Raevel has developed a certain curiosity curious about geopolitics, energy, food and metals supply security issues and their military/sovereign implications.
