Profile

Jihwan Chun is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Immune Engineering Laboratory led by Dr. Brandon J. DeKosky at the Ragon Institute of Mass General Brigham, MIT, and Harvard, where his research focuses on antibody engineering and immune recognition of malaria antigens. He received his B.S. from KAIST and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology from Seoul National University in Korea. He then conducted postdoctoral research in a protein engineering laboratory at Sungkyunkwan University before joining the Ragon Institute. His current work combines yeast display, directed evolution, next-generation sequencing analysis, and antibody characterization to discover and engineer antibodies with improved potency and breadth.
