Dr. John Mascola is Chief Scientific Officer of ModeX Therapeutics, a company developing innovative multispecific immunotherapies for cancer and immunological diseases. He is an accomplished physician-scientist, virologist and immunologist with over 25 years’ experience in research and development of vaccine and antibody therapeutics. Prior to joining ModeX, he was the Director of the Vaccine Research Center, NIAID, NIH where he oversaw the development of investigational products for numerous infectious diseases. Under his leadership, the VRC established collaborative partnerships leading to the licensure of vaccine or antibody products for RSV, Ebola chikungunya and COVID-19. Dr. Mascola has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the outstanding service medal from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and election to the National Academy of Medicine.
