Lazar is Head of Investor Network at Curie.Bio. Over the last dozen years, he has served as a basic scientist in large pharma, a biotech co-founder, and a head of corporate development. Lazar has led phenotypic screening and target deconvolution campaigns, played an integral role in taking two agents from an idea into the clinic (one of which is currently in a registrational study for non muscle invasive bladder cancer), and has run point on hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and equity financings. Throughout his career, Lazar has always been at the nexus of business and science. He believes that understanding how to effectively use science to create sound business strategies and communicate those strategies to drive business decisions is vital to the success of a biotech company. Lazar has devoted his career to learning how to effectively navigate both sides of the science and business intersection and is now working with founders of Curie.Bio portfolio companies in helping them raise their Series A.
