Mark Julian, PhDPrincipal Scientist, Antibody Discovery & Engineering at Atlas Venture NewCoSpeaker
Profile
Mark Julian is an antibody discovery scientist at a stealth mode startup company. His work focuses on library screening of antibodies for key functional in vivo and in vitro readouts. Prior to his current role, Mark spent 8 years at Biogen in the Biologics Drug Discovery group discovering and engineering traditional IgGs and single-domains. While there, he made key contributions across multiple therapeutic and tissue delivery programs through antibody hit ID, affinity and developability engineering, and half life extension. He obtained his PhD at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where his research centered on antibody affinity/stability trade-offs during affinity maturation.
