Monica Schwartz, Ph.D. is the Vice President of Antibody Discovery at Abalone Bio, a biotech company focused on combining biology and AI to unlock activating antibody drugs. Monica is leading efforts to discover activating antibodies for a wide range of challenging GPCR targets and to expand the FAST platform. She joined Abalone Bio from Zymergen, where she led teams focused on platform development and optimization, and microbial engineering. At Achaogen, she developed a microfluidic platform to screen single B cells to discover antibacterial antibodies against gram-negative bacteria. Monica received her Ph.D. from University of California, San Francisco and completed her postdoctoral training at Stanford University.
