Naoka Hironiwa is an antibody engineering specialist currently working the Biologics Engineering unit at Chugai Pharmaceutical co.ltd. With research experience spanning from 2005 to 2007, Hironiwa has contributed to novel anti-cancer drug identification at Keio University and from 2007 antibody therapeutic development at Chugai Pharmaceuticals and Chugai Pharmabody Research, including projects on antibody physicochemical analysis and the development of novel antibody technologies such as calcium-dependent antigen binding, immune complex sweeping platforms, highly functionalized dual antibody, site specific functional antibody/cytokine, new molecular format containing VHHs and CNS disease applicable antibody technologies
