Profile
Remy Muts is a final stage PhD candidate in the Group of Suzan Rooijakkers at the Medical Microbiology department of the UMC Utrecht in The Netherlands. His projects focus on investigating how IgM antibodies compare to IgG in driving effector functions, with the main focus being on the complement system and how it kills and opsonises bacteria. To study this, new monoclonal antibodies are required which the research group either acquires through single cell sorting healthy or patient-derived B cells, or by engineering bacteria to express an antigen of choice.
