Tanay Ghosh is a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) professional with over 18 years of experience in the Pharma / Biotech industry, in a career spanning Healthcare Investment Banking and Corporate M&A.

Currently based in Basel, Switzerland, Tanay is the Deputy Head of M&A Transactions at Novartis, where he leads the acquisition process bringing external innovation into the company. Focusing on 4 core therapeutic areas and 3+2 technology platforms, Tanay executes on the Novartis purpose to reimagine medicine by helping deliver transactions that are on strategy and in line with our core values.

Prior to joining Novartis, Tanay was Vice President, Pharma M&A at Bayer, where he led the execution of several transactions to build Bayer’s pharma pipeline and portfolio across key therapy areas.

Tanay holds an MBA in Finance and graduated with Honours in B.Com, majors in Accountancy, Management, Economics and Mathematics.
