There will be a variety of different transportation methods available during your trip. Munich is located in the South of Germany in the center of Europe with great connections both by train and plane.

In keeping with our sustainability initiatives, we highly encourage you to make use of the different means of public transportation.

To and from the airport

The main airport that provides access to Stockholm is Arlanda Airport which offers a variety of domestic and international flights.


TRAIN

The Arlanda Express Train, which started as an environmental project, provides a shuttle service between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Stockholm Central Station. The journey takes 18 minutes with trains departing every 10 minutes. The train platform is easily accessible, underneath the arrival terminal.

For direct trains to Stockholmsmässan use the regular commuter train service to travel to and from Arlanda airport and Stockholm Central Station. Trains depart twice an hour, and the travel time is 39 minutes. You can use this service to travel directly to Älvsjö Station – the stop for Stockholmsmässan the travel time is 47 minutes.


BUS

In addition, there is a coach-service (eco-labeled and fossil free since 2010) departing every 10-15 minutes between Arlanda Airport and the City Terminal – located next to the Central Station. The travel time is 40-45 minutes.


TAXI

Taxi (only eco-labeled cars allowed) and limousine services are available at fixed rates. Travel time: 35-50 minutes, depending on time of day.

You can find them at the Airport outside the arrival hall at Terminal 5 and outside Terminal 2. At both terminals you'll find taxi rank officers who are happy to help you.

Getting around

Located in the southwest of the city, Stockholmsmässan is easy to get to by public transport or taxi. The centre has connections to a variety of public transport, and a direct link to the motorway.

The journey by commuter train from Stockholm City to Älvsjö Station, Stockholmsmässan only takes 10 minutes, and the trains depart 8-14 times per hour. Fast and environmentally friendly! From the station, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to Stockholmsmässan.

It’s also possible to go by commuter train all the way from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Stockholmsmässan. The trains depart twice an hour, and the travel time is 47 minutes.
