The BUILDEX Innovation Showcases have been created in response to industry demand for opportunities to see new technologies and solutions quickly, efficiently, and with commentary from respected industry peers.
Purpose of the Innovation Showcase

- Break down barriers to the adoption of new solutions
- Demystify technological advancements
- Support the advancement of Western Canada’s building industry towards sustainability, commercial, and productivity targets
The Innovation Showcase format
- 5-minute “micro-presentations” delivered live by each technology provider
- Cross examination and questioning from a panel of industry expert judges
- Q&A between the technology provider and live industry audience
- The judging panel and industry audience vote and award their favourite solution
WHAT INNOVATIONS WILL BE FEATURED?
This Innovation Showcase is open to solutions from the following technology verticals for the real estate sector:

- Building automation, integration, and IoT solutions
- Energy management and sustainability
- ESG reporting and automation
- Innovative elevator, HVAC, and building systems
- Interior construction innovations
- Parking, EV, and mobility
- Property, rental, and maintenance management platforms
To bring new technologies and solutions to the industry audience at BUILDEX, technology providers that meet the following criteria will be prioritized:
- Solutions or companies with less than 1.5 years on the Canadian market
- Solutions used in less than 10 Canadian projects
