Daisuke HARADA started his career at Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC) in 1997. As an economist, he was engaged in several projects in Asia and Oceania.
In 2003, He was seconded to the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (ANRE-METI), appointed as a specialist for international energy affairs, especially on natural gas sphere.
In 2006, as soon as he returned from ANRE-METI to Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC; JNOC and Metal Mines Agency of Japan merged in in 2004), he was appointed as Deputy Director of Moscow Representative Office and worked for starting up upstream JVs in East Siberia.
After six years career in Russia, he came back to Tokyo and has been appointed as a regional specialist and an economist for projects in Russia and CIS, continuously researches the multilateral relations and geopolitics between Russia, US, EU, China and Japan, and also providing intelligence services to Japanese Government and private entities.
